Using purified human IgG Fc fragments as immunogens, anti-human IgG (Fc specific) antisera can be produced in goats. When tested against purified human IgA, IgG (Fc and Fab fragments), antibody preparations are specific against human IgG, Fc fragments. The lack of interspecific cross-reactivity with mouse or rat serum proteins makes this product ideal for screening human monoclonal antibodies produced by hybridoma cells grown in vivo in the ventral water of mice or rats.
